Ann McCaughey is a portrait and landscape painter living primarily on the North Fork of Long Island, NY, where she and her husband have had a home for over 30 yrs. She began in the arts as a black and white portrait photographer and studied with Philippe Halsman. She studied art history and music at the Univ. of Rochester and Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence. After careers in counseling and later real estate in NYC, she began taking painting classes with jada Rowland in Greenport in 2005 and has been painting seriously and taking classes with other artists since. Several of the paintings on this website are for sale, prices range between $200 and $600. She has won 4 first place and 2 best-in-shows locally and sells at auctions, group shows and through commissioned work.
